Do You Serve Love For Lunch?

Updated: May 22, 2020

What is love's position on the table of your heart?

Jesus said, "My sheep hear My voice..." John 10:27

"Love flows like mighty rushing waters. It consumes everything in its path. Love is kind and patient yet, at the same time, all consuming. It consumes doubt, fear, insecurities, shortfall, shame, hate, intolerance, prejudice and jealousy. It is bold and meek. Love is everlasting and overcoming."

"What part does love play in your life? What is its position on the table of your heart? Is it at the head of the table? Off to one side? Smack dab in the middle being served to all? Love needs to be the main dish and seated at the head of the table. I, the Lord, have so planned it!" (01/22/2017)

As I pondered this message for my own life, this prayer resulted. "Fill me, Lord, with your love - to overflowing - so I can serve it to all who sit with me at my table in my little corner of life. Teach me to serve it up the way You do - with second helpings. Move love. Move faith. More discernment, wisdom, and understanding. Give me eyes that see into the spirit realm and ears that hear what is unspoken. Eyes that see what isn't obvious and ears that hear the voice of God. In Jesus' name. Amen."
